Ici il ne s'agit pas d'une biographie de Paul Erdos ,j'avoue j'ai la flemme et puis en Avril sort un bouquin tres complet sur lui dans la collection un savant un époque donc vous forcerez tout comme moi votre bibliotheque municipal à l'acheter car c'est un livre suceptible de suciter des vocations(super assonance "sucept,susc").

Lemme:De toutes suites (convergente ou non) on peut extraire une sous suite monotone.

Demo de Erdös:Appelons n un pic de la suite (An) si Amn .Deux cas sont possibles :

 ou bien (An) a une infinité de pics:n1< n2< n3<... alors An1>An2>An3>... et la sous suite (Ank) est décroissante.

ou bien (An) n'a qu'un nombre fini de pics.Choisissons alors n1 plus gd que tous les pics. Comme n1 n'est pas un pic il existe n2 >n1 tq An2>An1.Mais n2 n'est pas un pic car n2>n1; il existe donc n3>n2 etc...Il existe donc un sous suite (Ank) de (An) qui est croissante.
